Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Slice into thin strips or bite-size pieces so they cook quickly and evenly.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the neutral oil and let it get hot but not smoking.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 4–5 minutes without stirring until lightly golden on the bottom.
  4. Stir or flip the chicken and cook another 3–4 minutes until fully cooked through and lightly browned.
  5. Reduce heat to medium. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until glossy and slightly thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and spoon extra sauce from the pan over the chicken.
