- 3 cups cooked rice
- Sauce: 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce, 3 tablespoons hot honey, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 tablespoon water
- Optional: 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water
- Toppings: green onions, sesame seeds, cucumber, lime
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef, salt, and black pepper, and cook 6 to 8 minutes until browned and cooked through to 160°F.
- Stir in garlic and ginger (optional) for 30 seconds.
- Add frozen vegetables and cook 2 minutes until hot.
- Whisk soy sauce, hot honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and water in a bowl.
- Pour sauce into skillet and stir 1 minute.
- Optional: add cornstarch slurry and simmer 30 to 60 seconds until glossy and sticky.
- Serve hot honey beef over warm rice and finish with toppings.
Notes
- If your hot honey is mild, add a pinch of chili flakes.
- For extra sticky sauce, use the cornstarch slurry.
