Description

These grilled ground chicken burgers are packed with bold flavors, creamy avocado, and spicy salsa—perfect for summer cookouts or fast weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • ½ small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ (1 ounce) package dry taco seasoning mix
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 wheat hamburger buns, toasted
  • 4 slices pepperjack cheese
  • 1 avocado – peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • ¼ cup chopped jalapeño pepper
  • ½ cup salsa, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, taco seasoning, and egg. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Form into 4 even patties.
  4. Grill patties for 5–8 minutes per side, until cooked through and juices run clear.
  5. Place each patty on a toasted bun, top with cheese, avocado slices, jalapeños, and salsa. Add the top bun and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lower-carb version, serve on lettuce wraps or in a bowl with grilled vegetables.
